Islands Community Development Corporation (TICDC)
The 1000 Islands
Community Development Corporation is a community-based, nonprofit
organization funded by Industry Canada. Governed by a local volunteer
board of directors and staffed by professionals, our mission is
to actively collaborate with our regional partners to strengthen
and develop our communities by investing in sustainable economic
development in South Leeds and surrounding area, encourage Entrepreneurship
and the pursuit of economic opportunities.
Building on
more than fourteen years of success, we play a local leadership
role in delivering economic development services to communities
and in delivering financial and consulting services to small and
medium-sized businesses.
Since being
founded in 1990, the 1000 Islands CDC has invested over $850,000
to Community Economic Development, $13 Million levered from partners,
$15 raised for every $1 spent. Since 1991 the 1000 Islands CDC has
invested over $8.6 million in loans granted to 330 businesses with
1980 jobs created and/or maintained.
We are committed
to economic development in the South Leeds area and work closely

Canada and FedNor, the Federal Government provides funding, advice
and support to 61 CFDCs across Ontario that carry out the following
services:
